FIBC bags & Their Uses

Image
FIBC bags are commonly used to store and transport materials such as minerals, chemicals, building materials and more. These bags are built keeping the safety perspective in mind and are durable. Our FIBC Bags can withstand extreme weather conditions and ensure your product safety and quality.
Made from polypropylene fabric, here are the 4 different types of FIBC bags and their uses:

Conductive FIBC Bags:
conductive FIBCs or ground-able FIBCs, are made from non-conductive polypropylene fabrics interwoven with conducting threads traditionally sewn in a grid pattern. These conducting threads must be electrically interconnected as well as connected to a designated ground/earth during filling and discharging. This connection to the ground/earth during filling and discharging is imperative to the safe use of Conductive FIBC Bags. These are used for transporting flammable powder substances.
UN Certified Bags:
These bags are made from woven plastics both with/without coating and with/without…

FIBC bag with Net Baffle Liner by FIBC-Silvassa

Image
FIBC bags with baffles are standard bags with extra fabric panels or pieces of string sewn into each of the bag’s four corners. This special reinforcement allows the bag to better hold its square shape when filled making bags with baffles easier to store side by side and/or stack.

some larger flow-able products/materials can have a hard time flowing to the corners of the bag. This is where big bags with net baffles come in handy.

What are FIBC bags with net baffles? Bags with net baffles are constructed very similarly as traditional baffle bags and, in most cases, come in three different construction options: circular, u-panel, and 4-panel. Instead of pieces of fabric sewn into the bag to form the baffles, horizontally knitted yarns are sewn into the bag offering the same stability as traditional baffle bags.

The value added of using a bag with net baffles is enabling the product/material to flow directly to the corners of the bag with ease all the while still maintaining the form o…

Type C And D FIBC Bag & Liner by FIBC-Silvassa

Image
Type C Bag:
Type C FIBCs, also known as conductive FIBCs or ground-able FIBCs, are made from non-conductive polypropylene fabrics interwoven with conducting threads traditionally sewn in a grid pattern. These conducting threads must be electrically interconnected as well as connected to a designated ground/earth during filling and discharging. This connection to the ground/earth during filling and discharging is imperative to the safe use of Type C bulk bags.

Type-C Liner:  Powder and granular materials can cause electrostatic charge, which may lead to ignition and explosion of flammable gases. The FIBC-Silvassa Type-C inner bags are especially suitable for materials that can cause electrostatic charge during handling. Type-C Liner is used in environments where there may be a risk of explosions and high fire risk.

Type D bags:

They are made of polyethylene and the fact that they can adjust themselves to the exact shape of the FIBC, including of the spouts, provides easier filling and discharging of the product they are carrying. The best part is that these liners can be easily removed from the FIBC or left there permanently. Not only are these liners strong but they are also known to be chemical resistant and have moisture/ oxygen barriers along with anti-static properties. Thereby ensuring that the p…

Gambo Liner by FIBC-Silvassa

Image
These are an extended version of a normal baffle FIBC. A low GSM woven PP liner is stitched inside the regular four loop bag. This liner acts like a baffle bag itself. These are best used when the cost of transportation is very high and space saved is money earned. The double walled structure of these bags helps them to be more friendly with stacking. these bags are referred as “Gambo Liner” bags.

Gambo liners are designed for products which are easily affected by the environmental conditions and for products where space optimization is necessary.

These liners are produced according to the international CP pallet sizes or special customer requests so that the big bag fits the pallet size and any space loss is prevented during storage and transportation.

The Gambo liner is a form shaped PE liner. It is designed to maximize storage and transportation space. It also allows you to make a form stable FIBC, squarer and more stable.

A baffle liner is often used instead of baffled FIBC …

Stevedore Loops by FIBC-Silvassa

Image
Stevedore Straps:
Stevedore straps are essentially additional straps that attach in some way to the polypropylene straps that are sewn into a FIBC. They are sold separately and/or with the bags themselves. There are several different types, but all of them are looped through the existing bag loops to offer additional ways to lift the bag. The most common uses are for forklifts. These straps give easy access points for forklifts to slide into and move the bag throughout any facility making them very popular in many warehouses where FIBCs are in use.

Types of Stevedore Strap

There are three stevedore strap types that are the most commonly used:

Single Stevedore: A single stevedore set up involves a single strap that loops through all four straps that are sewn into the bag. it makes it very easy for forklifts to pick up and move the FIBC throughout a facility.

Double Stevedore Straps: A double stevedore set up involves two longer straps where each is looped through two of the straps that are…

Anti static FIBC bag by FIBC-silvassa

Image
Anti-static FIBC bags are also known as Dissipative FIBC Bags. These are specialized FIBC bags made of antistatic fabric and are designed to prevent the occurrence of flammable sparks during the loading and unloading of flammable material. Such bags are found to be hugely beneficial for transporting hazardous materials.

Anti-static FIBC Bags or dissipative FIBC bags are made of an anti-static fabric with permanent discharge properties. They have quasi-conductive yarns to dissipate electric charge. They are designed to operate safely in the presence of flammable atmospheres without the requirement of a ground connection. The fabric dissipates the electrostatic discharges by a process called corona discharge. Corona is a form of electrostatic discharge which is low in energy and is therefore incapable of causing fires. therefore, to carry hazardous materials, use of anti-static bags is highly recommended.

Guideline when buying food-grade FIBC

Image
FIBCs, are used in a variety of facilities including food manufacturing and food processing plants. FIBCs are used by various industrial sectors like agriculture, chemicals, and pharmaceutical, but one of the largest users of FIBC bags is the food industry. Food grade FIBC bags are a great option for transporting and storing food and food related products. Manufacturers and distributors looking to transport and store their food usually choose these huge bags over any other handling method.

Here we talk a few guidelines you need to look for when buying food-grade FIBC.

Virgin Resin:

Food grade FIBC bags are manufactured using 100 percent virgin polypropylene resin, which is resin that does not contain recycled materials. Unfortunately, it is quite common for standard FIBC bags to be manufactured with resins containing recycled materials. Such bags are more robust and can withstand storage, lifting, and transport. US FDA regulations make it mandatory to use virgin resin for manufacturi…

How to Choose FIBC Bag ?

Image
FIBC bag is an industrial container made of flexible fabric that is designed for storing and transporting dry, flow able products, such as sand, fertilizer and granules of plastic. They are more popularly known as ‘Jumbo bags’ and are used mainly by food production and pharmaceutical industries.

here is some point that can help you choosing the correct FIBC bag.

Packing process: Another factor that plays a crucial role when selecting an FIBC bulk bag is the evaluation of the packing process and surrounding when filling and discharging the FIBC bag. You need to find out if flammable vapour or gases would be present when the bag is being filled and discharged. Besides, you also need to evaluate the ability of powdered particles inside the bag to generate or retain an electrostatic charge when it is being processed, filled or discharged. This will determine what Fabric type is used in the production of the FIBC Bags.

Thinking about Liners: A liner is often used along with FIBC bag. It c…

Why Should Invest In FIBC bags?

Image
The use of FIBC bags has become a very common affair in recent times due to huge usefulness as well as the convenience of these bags. Due to the increasing demand for these bags, the FIBC manufacturer in India manufactures a huge volume of these big bags. There are a number of business owners who still have use gaylord boxes and other rigid containers for packaging, they could be missing out on a major opportunity. Now, for the ones who do not use the FIBC bags, they should have a clear idea as to why they should be investing in the FIBC bags.
Cost Effective and Space Saving If you are into the business of selling loose products like grains, seeds etc. then it is quite disadvantageous to use the rigid containers or boxes since they do not change their shape as per their inner contents But FIBC bags stretch and bend their shape based on what’s inside. You can save money on your packaging materials by filling these large bags to the brim and packing in as much product as possible, inste…
